Liven up the ordinary

We’re all creatures of habit and sometimes change is scary. Trying a completely new food can be daunting. Deviating from a recipe, unless you’re a Jamie-wannabee, can send even the bravest cook into a cold sweat. What if it doesn’t work?

Well we think that there’s a time to try, be brave and step up the flavour. So that’s what we’ve tried with some of our recipes on the site

Well we think that there’s a time to try, be brave and step up the flavour. So come on people, let’s liven up the ordinary.

We know they’re maybe you’ve seen them in a different format but they give you a chance to ty a different ingredients or swap something out, which you might not normally try. And because we’ve already found them on our travels, you can be sure they taste pretty good too.

So, we know you can make a ham sandwich, but have you tried it with our best-selling delicious German Brunswick Smoked Ham? Or what about a run-of-the-mill Spag Bol. Perfectly acceptable and we salute this dish, but the addition of some chorizo just notches up the flavour a bit. It makes it a little less ordinary.

Experimentation doesn’t have to be expensive, daunting or worrying – in fact when it gets like that, you’re most likely to stick with what you know. And no-one wants to serve something that everyone turns their nose up at.  So have a look at our recipes to see if anything inspires you.
